Breeding season positions available
Breeding season positions available We currently have 1-2 positions available for the breeding season at our Te Awamutu-based farm.
The breeding season is an intensive and busy time where we meet the daily needs of our mares and foals combined with breeding season related activities.
We require motivated individuals with high energy, to support and assist our dedicated team. Previous horse or farm based experience of some sort is an essential requirement for all applicants.
We’re happy to train selected learners who can guarantee enthusiasm and a very positive work ethic etc. Please note, this may include the potential of an apprenticeship and NZQA recognised qualifications, while you work.
This is an opportunity for horse lovers to learn so much and potentially gain skills that could lead to a rewarding career in the international horse breeding/racing industry.Competitive wages are offered, and commencement can be immediate to mid-November.

Yearling preparation positions available
We have several yearling sale preparation positions available at our Te Awamutu-based farm.
Commencing in Early November, with the yearling sale taking place at Karaka in late January.
Prior horse experience is preferred, but not essential - we'd be happy to train selected learners who can guarantee enthusiasm and work ethic etc. Please note, this may include the potential of an apprenticeship and NZQA recognised qualifications while you work.
This is an opportunity for horse lovers to learn so much and potentially gain skills that could lead to a rewarding career in the international horse breeding/racing industry.
These positions would suit motivated individuals based in the Te Awamutu/Cambridge area. However, on-farm accommodation may be available or arranged for the right candidate.
