Monday Wrap Up - 02.07.18

The weekend produced two winners from Curraghmore, a great result proving the consistency of the farm's graduates.

On the domestic front Marbles (Jimmy Choux) posted a home track victory on Saturday at Ruakaka.  The Chris Gibbs-trained three-year-old proved too strong for her rivals in the Northpine Growing Stronger Communities maiden (1600m) posting her first career win for breeder-owner Mark Treloar.

In Hong Kong Goko (O'Reilly) posted his second career win when successful in a Class 4 Handicap over 1000m.

Bred by Nearco Stud Goko was purchased as a weanling by Ascot Farm for $160,000 from Curraghmore's 2014 draft at Karaka.  He then went on to make $525,000 as a Ready To Run 2yo.

Goko is out of Exceed and Excel mare Miraculous Miss who is doing a great job at stud.  Placed at stakes level herself, Miraculous Miss is the dam of three foals to race for three winners.  Her first foal Avisto (Tavistock) is the winner of three races at Listed level, and the following foal Celtic Tiger (O'Reilly) is the winner of the Listed SAJC Morphetville Guineas.

Miraculous Miss is back in foal to Tavistock this year.
