Monday Wrap Up 18.06.18

Curraghmore’s winning tally for the season continues to improve with Manolo Blahniq (Jimmy Choux) adding his success to the list on Saturday.

The Tony Noonan-trained gelding was given an excellent ride by Blake Shinn to win the Sydney's West App Handicap (1300m) at Rosehill.

Bred by Nearco Stud, Manolo Blahniq was sold for $115,000 through Curraghmore's 2015 New Zealand Bloodstock draft when purchased by Noonan.

A Group Three winner in  New Zealand when trained by Craig Thornton, Manolo Blahniq will now head to Queensland to chase black type at the tail end of the Winter Carnival.

In Hong Kong Brave Legend (Choisir) scored a mid-week win at Happy Valley over 1650m.

Raised at Curraghmore, Brave Legend was sold at the South Island Sale on behalf of Curraghmore client Dr Tan, the dam Uno Sayuri is based on the farm.

Only Tiger (Rip Van Winkle) continued his run of form backing up to win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday 13th following his win at Wyong six days earlier.

Stepping up to the unusual distance of 2110m the track also presented to be a Heavy 8, however
under Tim Clark Only Tiger managed to hit the front with 600m left to run and hit the line nicely.

Trainer John Sargent is yet to confirm any plans for the Chrissy Bambry and Mangatiti Trust bred four-year-old who was sold for $220,000 though Curraghmore’s 2015 New Zealand Bloodstock Premier draft.
