Trainer Mick Price has said he expects Mighty Boss (Not A Single Doubt) to prove this autumn that his victory in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas was no fluke.
Mighty Boss, who returns to Price’s stable in the coming days following a spell, has been earmarked for a tilt in the Gr.1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on 3 March.
"He's a sound, tough colt with plenty of options for him," Price said.
"I think he's still going to be a live chance (in the autumn). His Caulfield Guineas win - I know it was at big odds and it was a 'fluke' and all that sort of stuff but look, we've always had a good opinion of him and I think you'll find he has a really good prep and is one of the best three-year-olds."
Price parted with $180,000 at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2016 Premier Yearling Sale, to secure Mighty Boss out of Curraghmore's draft. -ANZ Bloodstock News
