Group One winner Heroic Valour will step out in a 1000 metre heat for black type performers before the opening event of Friday's Taupo meeting.
Heroic Valour's unbeaten two-year-old campaign was crowned by his success in the Diamond Stakes and trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards have the Gr.1 Sothys NZ 2000 Guineas at Riccarton as his primary aim this term.
