With our breeding season fast approaching, we’re seeking staff to fill a number of roles on our Te Awamutu-based thoroughbred breeding farm.

There are a range of full or part-time roles available including: 

• Full time year round care and management of our horses

• Rostered foaling watch from early August to early November

• Seasonal summer work assisting with our Karaka Yearling Sale preparation from November to early February

Those with previous experience working with horses would be ideal candidates but we’re also prepared to teach and support individuals who have a genuine wish to learn and contribute to our operation. 

There’s also the potential for successful applicants to complete apprenticeships and or study while you work through the NZQA recognised breeding courses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors in a great environment with our horses whilst learning good work ethic plus new and transferable skills. Which could lead to an amazing career in the horse breeding industry.

These positions require good energy and a total commitment to doing whatever role well. This is a great opportunity for those who are motivated and want to achieve.

Ideally suited to individuals living in Te Awamutu/Cambridge or nearby although on farm accommodation can be arranged for suitable candidates.
