Sandown Success For Bambina
11 Mar 2010

Bambina broke her maiden status in good time at Sandown yesterday and she can be expected to make her mark in better company over more ground.
The Pentire filly was successful over 1000 metres for Cranbourne trainer Robbie Laing after consecutive placings from two of her previous three starts.
She is highly-regarded by her connections and was sold by Curraghmore for $23,000 at the 2007 National Weanling Sale at Karaka.
Bambina is a sister to former stablemate Lakonian, who was a $92,500 purchase earlier in the same year from the farm's Select Sale draft.
He posted two wins and four placings in six appearances before his spring sale to Hong Kong interests for a figure reportedly close to seven figures.
